The Para-Classics.
Horror & the Paranormal
never go out of style.
Famous nineteenth-century playwright, poet, and novelist Oscar Wilde brings to the world an in-depth character study of horror, showing that the manipulation of emotion and intensity of friends’ advice can destroy happiness—or even steal sanity. Dorian Gray, a young, handsome, and charming man of seeming naivety, had a vision of happiness and joy of life for himself. He was trusting and easily convinced that the world was there for his personal folly. Very willing to believe this twist of words from “friends,” Dorian could (would) not see that what was true and dangerous was about to envelop him. Before long, Dorian’s innocence was torn from him … and he began to push his wrath outward to harm those he deemed harmful to himself. And then there was the painting… the horrible … mocking painting.
If you’ve seen the movie but not read Oscar’s Wilde’s deep investigations into natural characters, you must read The Picture of Dorian Gray. Why? You just may see why the world works the way it does—now, in these times. It could even show a reflection of you. This work of horror will keep you thinking into the night. Are you brave enough to do that?

What would you do if the home you’d been invited to stay in for a while was haunted?
At first, the Otis family in this short story by playwright Oscar Wild, was a little stunned at the strange activities plaguing the house, but as the odd circumstances escalated, the idea of ghosts just might be the undoing of this particular family. Or not. In this case, a mystery becomes an obsession for those involved--and a romping good time for said family--but not so much for the Canterville ghost… He’s just trying to do what ghosts do. Be damned the secrets. Oh, and yes Virginia, there are such things as ghosts…
Oscar Wilde has outdone himself.
